Top 5 Final Tracks

Brand New
I answered the call, but it wasn't easy. Too many albums just shove their lesser tracks to the end. But a good album will finish strong. A great final track should blow the album's musical wad, so that the listener knows that with this track, the artists are creatively spent. An honourable mention goes to "Modern Romance" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs off the Fever to Tell album, which meets the criteria and probably would make the list... if they didn't tack a hidden track on at the end of it. Stupid hidden tracks. I hate them so.

5. "It Ain't Hard To Tell" - Nas, Illmatic
4. "Play Crack the Sky" - Brand New, Deja Entendu
3. "Champagne Supernova" - Oasis, (What's the Story) Morning Glory
2. "Fight the Power" - Public Enemy, Fear of a Black Planet
1. "A Day in the Life" - The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
(Yes, wildlyoscillate thought of it first, so I'm honour-bound to give him a shout-out here).

I challenge anyone to create a top five final tracs and not include "A Day In The Life. It can't, in good conscience, be done.

Then you will be able to do it.
