Best Book EVER Tournament 2006, Round 4, Group C/D
19th-Sep-2006 11:34 am
Here is the second group for Round Four. I combined Groups C and D into this one post so I didn't post four entries with only two matchups. The four survivors of Group C in Round Three are still in their same section, and likewise the winners of Groups D, A, and B, I just did the combining to save some time. Voting will end on Sunday, September 24th, at 12:00 PM, EST.

Shakespeare is dominating this contest so far...not one, not two, but THREE of his "books" have made it all the way to Round 4...

Them is some great "books"!

Boo hoo.

Why are you crying? Do you want me to get you a tissue?

I think I'll need a whole box. This is some tragic stuff I'm dealing with.

Genius wartime satire better beat out childish Christian allegory, or I'll be very angry. And you don't want to see me when I'm angry.

It upsets me to see people get so angry about these tournaments. It's all subjective.

Not saying you specifically are (seriously) getting angry, your comment just brought the idea to mind.

Oh yeah, how did I miss that?

Crap, I hate when that happens.

Do you by chance have anybody else you could get to vote for Catch-22?

Mostly I want to see Catch-22 vs. SH-5 because so many scholars consider them companion books, and it'd be cool to see which companion is better.

Way to jinx it there pal. Now it looks like neither will win.

Oh no SH-5 is down by one.

If Charlie keeps winning I'll have to "boycott" it, I guess.

I totally agree with it all being subjective. It's all opinion. But my opinion is just better than everyone else's, so everyone should adopt it as their own. They'll be much better off.

But to be serious for a moment, I quite like the anger, as long as it's backed up with dicussion a little deeper than "BOOK sucks" or "BOOK is way cool".

I too think that its more fun when people are having strong reactions and opinions about the tournaments. It makes me feel less silly for being invested.
